Speakers Finalized, Schedule Available

Six experts in various fields of science, technology, education, and cyberinfrastructure have been finalized as speakers for the XSEDE14 Conference in Atlanta, July 13–18. The annual conference brings together the extended community of people interested in advancing research cyberinfrastructure and integrated digital services for the benefit of science and society.

Conference and hotel registration is open now, and the high-performance computing community is encouraged to attend the quickly growing event.

XSEDE14 will take place at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis and will showcase the discoveries, innovations, challenges, and achievements of those who use and support XSEDE resources and services, as well as other digital resources and services throughout the world. The theme of XSEDE14 is "Engaging Communities," to involve traditional users of digital resources, as well as people who have not traditionally used digital resources but would benefit from them.

XSEDE14 will include high-quality presentations in four technical tracks, tutorials, a visualization showcase, birds-of-a-feather talks, posters, lightning talks, various sponsor activities, a day-long workshop on reproducibility, a job fair, and a variety of opportunities for student involvement.

The Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment (XSEDE) is the most advanced, powerful, and robust collection of integrated advanced digital resources and services in the world. It is a single virtual system that scientists can use to interactively share computing resources, data, and expertise. XSEDE accelerates scientific discovery by enhancing productivity of researchers, engineers, and scholars by deepening and extending the use of XSEDE's ecosystem of advanced digital services and by advancing and sustaining the XSEDE advanced digital infrastructure. XSEDE is a five-year, $121-million project and supported by the National Science Foundation.
