GPGPU Programming and Data-intensive Computing to be Presented
The Joint Institute for Computational Sciences and the National Institute for Computational Sciences will host free workshops on data-intensive computing and GPGPU programming from the Virtual School for Computational Science and Engineering on June 16–20 and June 30–July 2 via two-way high-definition video at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
The workshops will be presented on the campus of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in studio 61-C, Communications building. Seats are limited to 24 for each workshop, so anyone interested is urged to register right away. Registration requires the creation of an Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment (XSEDE) portal account, which is a quick and easy process.
- Harness the Power of GPUs: Intro to GPGPU Programming, June 16–20, 11 a.m.–4 p.m. eastern daylight time, each day
- Data Intensive Summer School, June 30–July 2, 11 a.m.–5 p.m., eastern daylight time, each day
Light snacks (but not lunch) will be provided. On-campus parking near the Communications building will be provided on request.

About JICS and NICS: The Joint Institute for Computational Sciences (JICS) was established by the University of Tennessee and Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) to advance scientific discovery and state-of-the-art engineering, and to further knowledge of computational modeling and simulation.
