Mr. Baer joined NICS as an HPC system administrator in September 2009. Troy's contributions to the NICS team have included scheduling and resource management, Cray XT5 administration, Verne x86 cluster administration, and monitoring infrastructure.
Prior to joining NICS, Mr. Baer worked as a supercomputing support engineer at the Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC) for over ten years. In addition to supporting users and teaching workshops, Troy managed the scheduling and resource management software on most of OSC's HPC systems as well as OSC's site-wide PVFS file system.
