Phil Andrews, Project Director Phil Andrews is the Project Director for the National Institute for Computational Sciences, the home of the NSF Track 2B award petascale computer system (Kraken). Phil is responsible for overall management and technical leadership. He is the author of approximately 40 papers on grid and data intensive computing, documentation and visualization techniques, theoretical plasma physics, and nonlinear dynamics. He has been involved in High Performance Computing for over 30 years, in management, software development, and as a user. He has a Ph.D. from Princeton University in theoretical physics, and a B.A. in applied mathematics from Cambridge. |
