The National Institute for Computational Sciences (NICS) is integrally involved in a wide range of projects—both on campus at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and across the nation—aimed at solving some of the most complex problems in science and engineering.

AACE

Established by the University of Tennessee alongside NICS at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in 2011, the Application Acceleration Center of Excellence (AACE) explores the application of emerging computing technologies to simulation in science and engineering.
